King James, in the 1600s wanted to wrest the silk trade from China, so decreed that as many people as possible should plant Mulberry Trees. The only thing was he didn't know that it has to be White Mulberry for silkworms. And that's why we have so many black mulberry trees around Laughing

Brilliant tree.
Only had mulberrys once in Crete. There is a Mulberry tree growing in the N/West Carpark in the Haverhil Suffolk branch .I think it must be a listed tree otherwise I am sure it would have been knocked down, as it is a tiny car park.

Ok, here is the other tree now finished. Finally!!!

I do still have to prop it for her, but I may have to get DH to cut the wood for that.
